Aligarh Muslim University: A Centre for Innovation and Quality in Education

At Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), India, you see fine examples of innovation and excellent education. AMU began in 1920 and has consistently supported education, motivated research and helped students build their talents. Because of its selection of programs, dedicated employees and lively student body, AMU keeps making a difference for many people.

Diverse Programs and Academic Offerings

At AMU, there are more than 300 programs in engineering, medicine, law, the arts and social sciences. Students are fit to pursue a rewarding profession in their academic areas, since the university emphasizes a comprehensive education. To make it easier for students all over India, AMU has established centers in Kerala and West Bengal.

Affordable Fee Structure

Because tuition fees are affordable at AMU, students from different parts of society can get an impressive education. Annual tuition for B.Tech ranges from ₹17,000 to ₹22,000, for MBBS from ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 and for BA, BSc and BCom from ₹6,000 to ₹10,000.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

AMU helps students financially through many types of financial aid and scholarships. Some types are scholarships for families with financial need and for those who have performed well academically. In addition, the university is responsible for distributing a number of government scholarships such as the Post-Matric Scholarship for minority students.

Distinguished Faculty

AMU is our top choice because its teachers are active in research and are trained to tackle all kinds of business matters. At the university, Shafey Kidwai, a bilingual critic and researcher, helps make the academic environment richer.

Vibrant Student Life

At AMU, students enjoy lively and satisfying student life. Plenty of literary, artistic and athletic events are organized in our school, helping students grow and feel welcome. Thanks in part to the diversity among its students, the university’s atmosphere is vibrant.

Commitment to Innovation

Innovation is the main focus of AMU’s mission. After the university’s Robo Club was created, it launched the "SS AMU SAT" project, named after its founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. In October 2023, the project was approved by IN-SPACe which highlights AMU’s dedication to creating new innovative technology.

Alumni Success

The number of successful alumni from AMU doing different kinds of work is very impressive. Some prominent individuals are included, for example:

Educationalist and philanthropist Nadeem Tarin has added greatly to educational improvement efforts in both Saudi Arabia and India.

Ahmad Salahuddin was a biochemist and professed at AMU's Department of Biochemistry, highly prized for his studies of protein folding.

These graduates are excellent illustrations of what our institution does to foster tomorrow’s leaders and innovators.

Historic Leadership

AMU made history in April 2024 when Professor Naima Khatoon was appointed the first woman to hold the position of vice chancellor. The Allahabad High Court supported her appointment, making a big contribution to increasing women in leadership at universities.

Conclusion

Aligarh Muslim University still remains a leader in education and invention. Due to the broad range of programs, sensible pricing, skilled faculty and effort to assist students in performance, AMU continues to influence education in India and abroad.
